Yes. While 5× 150Ah lead acid batteries store 9 units total, you can only use 4.5 units safely (50% depth of discharge). Our 5.1kWh lithium battery gives you 4.8 usable units at 95% DoD — more backup from a single, lighter unit.
Does the Hybrid Solar Inverter work without a battery?
Yes. The Greeno Hybrid Solar Inverter can run your appliances directly from solar power during the day even without a battery connected. A battery is only needed for night-time or power-cut backup when there is no sunlight.
What is the difference between hybrid and on-grid solar inverter?
A traditional on-grid inverter shuts down during power cuts — all solar power goes to waste. A Greeno Hybrid Solar Inverter continues running during power cuts, using solar energy or battery storage. No wastage, no interruption.
What voltage battery do I need for a 1.5-ton AC?
For running a 1.5-ton AC, we recommend a 48V LFP battery (100Ah or 200Ah) paired with our 5kVA or 6kW hybrid solar inverter. This gives you 5–6 hours of AC backup.
Is the lithium battery safe for home installation?
LiFePO4 (LFP) is the safest lithium chemistry available. It is fully sealed, emits no acid fumes, and is not prone to explosion under normal conditions. It can be wall-mounted, saving up to 85% of floor space vs lead acid.
Can I expand my system later?
Yes. Both Greeno inverters and batteries support parallel expansion. You can start with a single unit and scale up to 100 kW total capacity by connecting additional inverters and batteries in parallel.
